Beowulf Newsletter IV

Beowulf Newsletter IV

As we approach the year’s end, Beowulf is pleased to share significant progress and developments since our previous newsletter. The foremost announcement is my recent appointment as Chief of Operations (COO) of the Beowulf Foundation, a role in which I am honored to serve. Allow me to introduce myself: while I remain anonymous, within these circles, I am known as Sensible Esocentrist, or simply Eso. I have been engaged with Beowulf for several years, initially as a project manager, and have contributed to the organization since its inception. Some of you may recognize me from our community channels or from the last Scyldings Nashville Conference. For those whom I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting, my contact details are provided at the end of this newsletter, and I am also accessible through our primary community forums, such as Basketweaving or our new Matrix server at https://element.beowulf.foundation.

Recent developments have brought exciting challenges and led to stronger results. As is natural in any organization, there are periods of growth and contraction. This time has allowed for the consolidation of past gains, reassessment of ongoing projects, and reconsolidation, resulting in more refined and focused initiatives.

One example is the shift from the previously announced "Upcoming Stream" on J. Burdens' channel to a dedicated YouTube channel. Rather than a single stream being lost in a vast and ever-expanding catalog, each of our projects will now have its own accompanying video. This change enhances clarity, accessibility, and focus in our communications with subscribers and patrons.

Evaluating our projects sometimes requires difficult decisions. This has resulted in a reformation of the list of those to whom Beowulf extends the title of partner, and the conclusion of the Nashville conference series to better capitalize on opportunities in other locations.

These changes ensure that Beowulf remains dynamic and true to its core mission and goals, while enabling us to deliver only the highest quality services.

Karlstage

Scyldings is committed to expanding its presence globally by establishing events in many new locations worldwide. In alignment with this mission, we are thrilled to announce our inaugural event in Germany. Featuring renowned speakers such as Schattenmacher and Carl Benjamin, along with many others, this event will explore the theme A Road to Rebirth. We look forward to welcoming attendees to an experience not to be missed.

Tickets for the Karlstage and information about other Scyldings events can be found at https://scyldings.com/events/

Corncrake Magazine

We are pleased to announce the launch of Corncrake Magazine, a publication dedicated to showcasing both reproductions of classic works and original submissions. Corncrake specializes in the Anglo literary and artistic tradition, providing a platform for aspiring authors and artists within our community to present their work. This initiative aims to support emerging talent while providing a context that is rich in our literary history.

Corncrake Magazine can be read online at https://corncrakemag.com.

Hjallr

Beowulf’s core mission is empowering emerging minority groups to find success and growth. The best way to achieve this is through developing networks, infrastructure, and training programs.

In line with this, we are proud to present Hjallr: independent online infrastructure. Hjallr provides independent server hosting for websites, offering resilience to small businesses, organizations, and content creators. Unlike major hosting providers, Hjallr will not impose unnecessary restrictions on its users, ensuring freedom and the ability to grow without being hindered by corporate policies.

Find out more about Hjallr at http://hjallr.com.

The Digital Art Exhibition (DAE)

“Bringing art to the unwashed masses,” the DAE aims to address the problem of declining quality in the contemporary art scene. Spearheaded by Helvetian Alpinist, the DAE features art from a variety of schools and inspirations.

This virtual exhibition can be accessed at https://digitalartexhibition.com. It is open to visual artists, poets, and musicians. Users can download the exhibition, built in the Unreal 5 engine, and navigate its halls in first person. The exhibition is 1:1 scale, medieval-themed, and boasts an atmosphere comparable to the most prestigious European art halls.

Eye of Vala

Eye of Vala is a new company focused on data and analytics. This is another project which has undergone a number of changes before release, including a change of name. It was previously annoucned on the Beowulf Youtube channel as "Eye of Sibyl" but has now been brought in line with our naming convention. It operates as a business and political intelligence company dedicated to providing essential tools and support to emerging organized minorities. Currently, it is used for automated data collection and analysis within various online right-wing spheres. Its broader objective is to evolve into a comprehensive toolset for users. Subscribe now to receive notifcations as their reports realease.

Eye of Sybil’s services can be found at https://eyeofsibyl.com.

Beowulf Seal of Approval

We are excited to announce the creation of the Beowulf Seal of Approval. This seal ensures that the services we offer and the businesses we support align with Beowulf’s standards and vision. The Beowulf Seal of Approval signifies that Beowulf is a significant shareholder in the business, guaranteeing its quality. It also offers business owners access to Beowulf volunteers and discounts when using our infrastructure.

FAKS Tromsø

Beowulf is pleased to announce that our partner A. Walrus has attended FAKS Tromsø, a student organization. FAKS Tromsø promotes itself as “the northernmost local team of the Association for All Conservative Students—a nationwide, party-politically independent gathering organization for conservative students.”

The event was a resounding success, and our partners are committed to making frequent visits to FAKS locations in the years ahead.

New Matrix Server

Beowulf has launched a new Matrix Server at https://element.beowulf.foundation. This replaces the old Matrix server at https://element.scyldings.com. We made this change for two main reasons: to align our community with the foundation as a whole, and to leverage Hjallr for a significantly faster and more robust server experience.

Need help with an event?

Beyond what we have previously listed, we are always looking to expand our initiatives. The Scyldings events have been well received, and we want to support others with similar goals in organizing their own events. Beowulf can provide custom software and solutions for event management, covering everything from bookings to organizational logistics. This is particularly useful if you require a cost-effective, cancel-proof solution. We also offer advice and support for event planning.

For more information, please contact me via the contact information I have listed at the end of this newsletter.

Need help with IT?

In addition to event setup support, we offer assistance across a wide range of IT solutions, including payment processing, website development, and web application deployment. Whether you need a website for your business or blog, require payment processing capabilities, or are interested in deploying a private social media server or custom web application, we are equipped to provide tailored solutions to meet your needs.
